Biography
Nia Ho is a highly motivated third-year student at Pitzer College majoring in biophysics with a minor in economics. She is currently a student researcher in the Komatsu Lab, where she assists with spheroid optimization and biomaterial surface chemistry research while
developing hands-on experience in regenerative medicine and organoid engineering. Nia has also received recognition for her research presentations, including a first-place award in Physical Sciences at the 2026 American Association for the Advancement of Science
(AAAS) Annual Meeting for her work on improving 3D organoid formation using surfactant-coated microwell platforms during her summer research project in the Komatsu Lab. Her presentation and research accomplishments were also featured in Science.
