    Biography

    Paul is a fourth-year medical student at UCSF who is planning on pursuing a career in general surgery. He graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology and a minor in Biomedical Research. In the Maker Lab, Paul conducts clinical outcomes research in the field of hepatopancreatobiliary surgical oncology, with special research interests in premalignant pancreatic cystic lesions and hepatic artery infusion pumps. Paul's research has been funded by the Greenberg Oncology Medical Student Summer Fellowship, and he was awarded the 2022 Dean's Prize in Short-Term Research and Scholarship from the School of Medicine for his work investigating the role of adjuvant systemic therapy in patients with invasive mucinous cystic neoplasms of the pancreas.
